Handicapped Information
Handicapped Area
Handicapped areas are located in Boston and Cambridge and are filled on a “first-come, first-served” basis. On the Boston side, the handicapped area is located within the Oval to the right of the stage. Each person is allowed one guest. Once this handicapped area has reached capacity, no additional spectators will be admitted. On the Cambridge side, there is a reserved handicapped area along a section of the Cambridge Parkway on the night of July 4th.
Handicapped accessible restrooms are available at all restroom locations at the event.
Handicapped Parking
Boston
Parking for event-goers with disabilities is available at the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary on July 4th. This lot can be accessed by entering Storrow Drive outbound from Leverett Circle and exiting at the Charles Circle off-ramp. The parking entrance is at the far left of the beginning of the ramp. A handicapped plate or placard is required to enter the lot.
A shuttle, which is offered on July 4th only, will be provided from the designated parking location at the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary. The shuttle will run from 12:00PM through 6:00PM, or until the area is full, and will return all event-goers to the lot at the end of the concert and fireworks.
Cambridge
Handicap parking is available on Cambridge Parkway on the night of the July 4th after 5:00PM. Vehicles with handicap parking placards should proceed through the security checkpoint at Land Boulevard and Binney Street and follow the directions of the uniformed police officers to Cambridge Parkway. This parking area will close once all the spaces are full. All cars parked on Cambridge Parkway must be off the road by 1:00AM on July 5th. Any vehicles left after 1:00AM will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Please note: There are no handicapped parking or shuttle services provided on July 3rd.
